Service Groups

Dear Heavenly Father,

We praise you for all the miracles we are seeing at Servant of Christ. We
see people faithfully working your plan, reaching out to others to spread
the good word. We ask that you will continue to bless our church with the
hearts of people wanting to glorify Your name.

Right now we seem to be an occupant of an unsettled world. We see it
globally, we see it in our political arena, we see it in economy and all of
these things affect our church life. We ask that you will be with the
leaders of Servant of Christ as they begin to make decisions around
budgeting and staffing for the coming year. Changes in our world affect the
reactions and needs of the congregation. Help us not to be of this world,
but focused on the work you want us do.

Ephesians 6: 5-8-----Servants, respectfully obey your earthly masters but
always with an eye to obeying the real master, Christ. Don't just do what
you have to do to get by, but work heartily, as Christ's servants doing what
God wants you to do. And work with a smile on your face, always keeping in
mind that no matter who happens to be giving the orders, you're really
serving God. Good work will get you good pay from the Master, regardless of
whether you are slave or free.
