“So let’s do it—full of belief... Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word. Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on.” –Hebrews 10:24-25

Text: Psalm 28:7

God is always there to listen and with faith we can conquer anything;
even leukemia and a spinal cord injury.

I grew up in a family where we went to church and were confirmed. As a young adult I strayed from my
faith in God and the church. In 1999 I was diagnosed with leukemia as my husband and I were planning
our wedding. God was there and my fiancé, Paul, told me he was in for better or worse and in
sickness and in health. In 2011 I had a spinal cord injury and that’s when I turned to my faith. I knew that was the only way I would get through this. My parents purchased a Bible for me, and I started praying and talking with the Lord. God was working miracles in me and my family. I believe God is always there to listen and with faith we can conquer anything.
